VOTM: What's the most unusual experience you've had at a reading?
FOWLER: Aside from scaring away Girl Scouts by reading fairy tale poems, that would have to be leaving a huge reading at AWP where Dorothy Allison read a story called "Frog Fucking" and every person walking out of that hall, male and female, appeared to be erotically stirred and ready to find an immediate target for meaningful lovemaking, or otherwise.
