Porochista Khakpour answers the question: What's the most unusual experience you've ever had at a reading?
One time I did a reading at a bar and a man brought his dog. I’m a big dog person so maybe I made some serious doggie eye contact or something, but in any case, the man would not leave my side after the reading. I started having a bad feeling about his conspiracy-theory-ranting but I also happen to be terrible at extracting myself from bad situations, so I sort of hung out smiling and nodding for a really long time, until I guess the man felt so comfortable with me that he suddenly told me he was thinking of committing suicide. Pretty awful.
