SOLIMINE: Witnessing my mother earnestly shape a penis out of printed words during an experimental poetry performance.
Raised in New England, KAITLIN SOLIMINE has considered China a second home for almost two decades. She's sung with rock bands in Beijing, traveled alone through Manchuria as a researcher-writer for the travel guide Let's Go: China, and was a Fulbright creative arts fellow. An excerpt from her forthcoming novel, Empire of Glass, won the Dzanc Books/Disquiet International Literary Program award.
