NEWISH INK

Tattoo Soup is a strange book to recommend since it's a picture book (no words) but it does feature some great tattoo art, including work done by San Antonio artist Gerry Quetzatl Garcia on yours truly. If you've always wanted to see a picture of my shaved, naked, freshly inked chest, this is the book for you. The image isn't available online so I'll describe it in two words: calaca swallows.

On Saturday, January 31, 2009, come see Nuvia's latest work in a group show at the Centro Cultural de la Raza in beautiful Balboa Park in San Diego. Many of our friends will also be presenting new work, including San Antonio muralist and tattoo artist Gerry Garcia.
